C londuff Camogs are known the length and breadth of Ireland for their activities both on and off the pitch. It all began back in 1951 when the club was initially formed but unfortunately it only existed for a short period of time. The club reformed again in 1967 and has been going from strength to strength ever since. The club made good progress in the early years when they contested five consecutive Junior Championship finals. At this time several players were on the county teams and in 1974 when Down won the first ever All Ireland Minor title, the club was proud to have club player, Susie Lively as captain and the first person to receive the the Tailteann Cup. Susie was also a member of the Down Team that won the All Ireland Junior Championship in 1976. Kathleen Crilly and Eileen Hamill joined Susie, on that occasion on the team. The juvenile policy also resulted in the Club winning the County Feile na nGael titles in 1995 and 1997. The National Feile Finals were held in Limerick in 1995 and Waterford in 1997. Winning the Feile Competition in Down and earning the right to represent their county in the National Finals was indeed an honour for the Club and all the players.

Monaghan Camogie Senior League Final: Gaeil Triucha 2-6 Inniskeen 2-5; Congratualtions to the camogie team who won their first trophy since 1999 with a 1 point victory over Inniskeen in the senior league final on Sunday, 4TH October 2009. Played in Clontibret, it was Inniskeen that started the game stronger, however a late first half goal by Truagh left the gaels 1-1 to 0-3 in front at half time. The Truagh girls put a strong rally together in the second half and lead by 5 points going into injury time. Although Inniskeen scored a goal and a point in the 5 minutes of injury time played, it was Truagh that held out to record a fine victory, 2-6 to 2-5. Tribute to 2006 Champions Chairperson's Address Patrickswell Camogie club has been well represented in the Camogie circles around limerick now for over 50 years. Our first success on the playing field was in 1956 where we brought home our First County Title. This team disbanded some years later but many local girls continued to play with other clubs and also played with limerick on many occasions. It was from this strong Camogie background that the present club was set up on March 16th 1983. First officers of the club were as follows, Chairperson, Phil Mann, Secretary Rose Kelleher and Treasurer Birdie Enright. Chairman of the Senior Club, Timmy O Neill invited the Camogie Club to the next Senior club meeting on 6th April, where it was ratified that the we would become a club within the Senior Club and we were promised financial support, help with training and the running of the club. This was a huge step for the Camogie Club, many of our sister clubs are in awe of how we are supported and respected within our Senior Club. Over the next 26 years are club has gone from strength to strength reaching many county finals at all ages groups and being successful on many occasions. We currently field teams from U10 level right up to Intermediate, and down through the years we have had many players representing us on various county teams, most notably Christine Carroll who won 2 all Ireland minor medals.

Extractions: Camogie was played in Tramore for a brief period about 1946 and was revived in 1952 but had a rather short existence. No efforts were made to revive the sport in the 1960's or 1970's. Then in November of 1982 Patsy Flanagan called a meeting of interested parties who opted to form a Camogie Club in the town.
