Garcelle, her mother and her six older siblings moved to Massachusetts when she was seven after her parents divorced. A native French and Creole speaker, Garcelle learned the intricacies of English from watching Big Bird and friends on "Sesame Street." At sixteen, the family moved to Miami, and a year later the very tall, very striking Garcelle signed a modeling deal with the powerful Ford agency in New York. She appeared in magazine layouts for Avon, Clairol and Mary Kay and strutted down catwalks for Calvin Klein and Isaac Mizrahi. Modeling inevitably led to acting, but the transition was easier for her than most, since her first major acting job was on the short-lived Fox drama "Models, Inc." In 1996, she got her big break as the female lead on the WB's "The Jamie Foxx Show," which ran for five seasons and still airs in repeat syndication. When the sitcom's production schedule wound down, she landed a job as the newest "NYPD" district attorney/sex symbol.

Jennifer Pratt Once called the "Gateway to the Smokies," Haywood County is located just east of the Great Smoky Mountains in the Blue Ridge range. With its deep roots in Scots-Irish culture, the people of Haywood County are blessed with generations of traditional musicians. They have maintained a great many of the oral and music traditions over the two centuries of living in coves, small towns, and mountain communities. The county developed into a legendary hotbed of traditional music and dance. From the front porches to the church halls to the local barn dances, the music of the mountains became a staple of life, a means of bringing people together or just passing the time before the days of television and video games. These performers included fiddlers, banjo pickers, guitar players, ballad and folk singers, and clogging and square dance teams. Their fame spread throughout the state and nation.
Extractions: Our mission is to save healthy, adoptable animals in the Haywood County Animal Control facility. Last year over 2,400 animals in the county facility were euthanized yet a large number were highly adoptable. Our mission is to take adoptable pets from the shelter, give them the loving care they need until their forever family adopts them. We currently save those pets we can by placing them in local foster homes while we try to find permanent homes for them. Our goal is an Adoption Center with quarantine space, comfortable pens, outdoor runs, a cattery, areas for training and grooming. However, we think of our Foster Program as a 'No-Kill Shelter Without Walls' that enables us to save many dogs and cats right now.
