Extractions: Ishay Shaer Ishay was born in Tel Aviv, Israel in 1983 and began piano studies at the age of 6. A year later he started studying in Givatayim City Conservatory with Mrs. Hanna Barsilai and in 1998 he moved to Dr. Asaf Zohar's class. Between 1999-2002 Ishay participated in a number of festivals, including the Upper Galilee Music Festival and the Idyllwild Music Festival in California, USA. Since 2004 Ishay has been studying with Prof. Tomer Lev at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, part of Tel-Aviv University, in cooperation with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Miao Huang Miao, then 19, was born in Wuhan (China) and took her first piano lessons at the age of 4. She had taken piano lessons from many different teachers, including Professor Kristin Merscher, until she became a student of the pianist Wolfram Schmitt-Leonardy in 1999. She also participated in master-classes by Professor Peter Feuchtwanger and Michael Ponti.
